MORE ACOUSTICAL IMPROVEMENT MEASURES FOR THE RECEPTION HALL OF THE COMMUNITY HOUSE IN VENRAY 07/2013

Incatro was asked to take additional measures to improve the acoustical conditions in the reception hall and the office areas of the new community house in Venray, a former nunnery.

The problem in this building was a high level of disturbing reverberations especially in the high reception hall, caused by hard, noise-reflecting materials and a stone floor. In this special case, we concentrated on the area around the reception and mounted a round ARTceiling above the round reception counter. With true made-to-measure work, we met the challenge of the round shape of the area.

In addition, we placed white, nearly invisible ARTwalls at the concrete pillars opposite the reception counter, as well a number of ARTwalls and ARTpanels in the office gardens and rest areas. The call center was equipped with acoustic desk screens as well as movable screens in between the individual workstations
