What are sound absorbing boards?
Sound absorbing boards are boards used to improve acoustics. These boards have acoustic properties and can thus dampen sound in areas where it is annoying.
If you want to buy acoustic boards, make sure that they actually do what they promise: absorb sound. You can see this by the absorption value for each product. The absorption value is the measured degree of absorption. It is often expressed in NRC or Alpha value. A product with an NRC value of 0.95 absorbs 95% of annoying sound reflections. Highest attainable is 100%, so that is very high.

Sound absorbing boards are best placed close to where the sound is coming from. So on the wall, on the ceiling or between (work) places.
Where exactly they are placed depends on the possibilities on site. Our acoustics experts strive to make the acoustic panels blend into the interior as much as possible. Installation is therefore also taken into account. Can drilling be used or not? Is gluing better? Or hanging on steel cables? Or on wheels so they can be moved at will?
